CORE Life

When Executive Director Jules Starr founded The CORE Project in 2020, a key component of her vision was to provide services for adults with autism and other disabilities past the age of 21. Often, reaching age 21 marks the end of educational services provided to an individual with disabilities through their local school system. Reaching this milestone when you are the parent of a young adult with special needs is particularly daunting because, currently, there are limited options in our area for services that address the needs of this population.

Because deficits do not just vanish when a certain age is met, CORE Life serves as a way to continue to provide much needed support to these individuals and their families, no matter their age. Through adult transitional services, CORE Life will focus on building vocational and community living skills for its participants, with the goal of moving towards independence and, if applicable, employment in the community.

Students in CORE Academy are invited to begin their journey in CORE Life at age 15.
